Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I provide professional mental health counseling and support to individuals navigating emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I believe prioritizing your mental health is an essential part of living a fulfilling life. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support isn’t always easy. I’m glad you’re here and taking this important step toward healing, growth, and improved well-being.

I have been practicing as a mental health counselor for three years and utilize evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA).

EMDR helps individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences by reducing the emotional impact of difficult memories and creating healthier responses. DBT focuses on developing skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, increase distress tolerance, and build effective coping strategies. CETA incorporates therapeutic techniques to address unhelpful thinking patterns, trauma responses, stress management, emotional regulation, and positive behavioral changes.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other life challenges. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and goals because every person’s journey is different. My previous experience as a Crisis Intervention Specialist has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate support, help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.

I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will identify your strengths, navigate challenges, and work toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, valued, and empowered. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while feeling supported every step of the way. I will listen with compassion, offer evidence-based guidance, and gently challenge unhelpful patterns as we work together to build on your strengths, develop effective coping skills, and navigate life's challenges. Through our collaborative work, we will focus on creating meaningful, lasting change that helps you move toward healing, balance, and the fulfilling life you envision for yourself.

What you can expect from me

I begin with an introductory session where I complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. This initial appointment is an opportunity for me to get to know you as a whole person—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy.

During this process, we will discuss your medical history, current medications and supplements, substance use, physical health habits, and any current or past mental health concerns. We will also explore your coping strategies, family history and dynamics, relationships, cultural identity, spiritual beliefs, and other aspects of your life that have shaped your experiences.

Most importantly, this is your opportunity to share your story, discuss your goals, and tell me what you hope to gain from therapy. I strive to make this first session feel warm, welcoming, and judgment-free so you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we will create a personalized treatment plan and use future sessions to build on your strengths, overcome challenges, and help you achieve meaningful, lasting growth.
