Great to meet you!

I strive to be a warm, friendly, and approachable presence for my clients. I believe that the relationship between a counselor and a client is the foundation of healing, so I prioritize making you feel safe, heard, and never judged. I’m a collaborative partner in your journey. I’m here to listen, but also to help you navigate toward the version of your life you want to lead.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life, so my approach is highly collaborative. We work as a team to explore the challenges you’re facing and identify what may be standing in your way.

My primary focus is solution-oriented. While we will acknowledge and honor your experiences, our work focuses on identifying your existing strengths and developing practical, manageable strategies to address your specific concerns. To ensure our sessions meet your needs, I integrate various tools and techniques such as: identifying thought patterns or building coping skills, to support you in navigating your personal goals at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily an intake and information-gathering session. Our main goal is to get to know one another and see if we are a good fit for your needs. I will ask questions about your background, what brings you to therapy at this time, and any specific goals you might have.

While this session involves more 'data-gathering' than a typical session, it is an essential step in building our partnership. We will discuss the logistics of therapy, go over your history, and begin to identify the areas where you would like to focus our work. By the end of this session, we will have a clearer picture of how we might work together to address the challenges you’re facing.
