Great to meet you!

I have been a social worker for 18 years, and I have been a therapist the last 6 years starting out working with adults and then moved more to working with children and adolescents over 2 years ago. I feel comfortable working with children, adults, and families across the life span. My professional background includes medical, primary school setting, university setting, and community mental health. I treat a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, system issues (school, divorce, etc), and ADHD.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Ole Miss, a Master of Science in Social Work degree from The University of Tennessee, and I just completed an Education Specialist in Counselor Education in May 2026. I will submit to become a Registered Play Therapist August 2026.

My approach to therapy

The main therapeutic interventions I use are Prescriptive Play Therapy, CBT, DBT, and CPRT (a type of family therapy under the Play Therapy Filial umbrella). Since I use mostly Telehealth right now, I do prefer ages 10 and up. It's difficult to do teletherapy with children under 10 years old. After carefully assessing your information initially, I will complete a full diagnostic evaluation within my scope, and then I will create goals tailored to you. I am only available for virtual sessions, and I have night and weekend availability.

What you can expect from me

During the Diagnostic evaluation, I will mainly get your medical and mental health history so I can determine what your treatment needs are. I take a person-centered approach to therapy. You can expect to feel listened to and truly heard, affirmed while challenged, motivated, and to think outside the box while becoming more self aware.
