Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing psychotherapy for over 4 years with a wide array of populations and diagnoses. I specifically enjoy utilizing the therapeutic relationship itself as the means for long-lasting change in helping solve the root cause of issues like depression and anxiety.

I obtained my Master's degree from Santa Clara University and my Bachelor's from UC San Diego.

My approach to therapy

I create a space where anything and everything is on the table, so to speak. In a trusting environment, change can occur when emotions and relational patterns arise between the therapist (me :) and the patient/client.

It's my job to notice these patterns (and make you feel seen and heard), and to help break them so you can live life in a new way--a more freeing one. And by this method, each patient gets their own unique form of treatment. As patterns get resolved, symptoms like depression and anxiety will fade away in time.

What you can expect from me

The first session involves seeing if we are a good fit for one another. This includes my general personality, how I practice therapy, and what will be required of you.

In general, a few basic factors help determine whether the fit is appropriate. I will ask, "Why therapy now? "What are you hoping to change?" Then I will suggest options of how we might get to where you want to be.

From here, we will start to develop a mutual understanding of what we might be thinking is causing your issue--and create a plan on how to fix it. This will require multiple sessions, normally. But it ensures we start with the right foot forward and have a game plan.

Most of all, I am here to help you change--not just feel better. This requires work from both parties, but I am with you through it all.
