Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a National Certified Counselor. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology through American International College. I have been working as a psychotherapist for the past decade. Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I worked as supervisor with the Department of Children and Families, a case worker with the Department of Mental Health, an inpatient detox program, and in-home behavioral therapy.

My approach to therapy

I base my practice off Attachment Theory and utilize attachment-based experiential therapeutic models. I use a combination of Person-Centered, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDP), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). I also integrate my Christian faith into treatment upon client's request.

What you can expect from me

My main focus in treatment is to develop a real relationship with my clients. I do this by allowing clients to get to know me and being real with them. I believe the relationship between myself, and my clients is the most important part of the work. It is this relationship that allows the client to explore who they really are in a safe way with someone they can trust. Although I am not specifically a Christian counselor, I do make my faith a part of treatment with clients who share my beliefs.
