Great to meet you!

Welcome — I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (AZ) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (OH) with more than 17 years of experience helping people feel calmer, clearer, and more in control of their lives. I’m also a certified traumatologist and longtime counselor educator, which means I stay current on approaches that actually work and know how to explain them in a way that feels easy to use in daily life.

Clients describe me as warm, straightforward, and real. Therapy with me is supportive and collaborative — you’ll feel heard, but you’ll also gain practical tools and gentle challenges when you’re ready. My goal is to help you understand what’s really happening beneath the stress, anxiety, or burnout, and to build changes that feel sustainable rather than temporary.

I specialize in trauma recovery, stability, and growth (including EMDR and somatic/post-traumatic growth work), anxiety, depression, and navigating high-stress roles or major life transitions. I frequently work with professionals, leaders, caregivers, and high-achievers who want more than symptom management — they want to feel lighter, more resilient, and more themselves again.

Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning after a difficult season, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and thoughtful. I accept insurance through Headway and provide personalized, evidence-based care tailored to your goals. If you’re ready to explore what’s getting in the way — and build tools to move forward — I’d be honored to work with you and I will help you.

If you'd like to chat more and set up a time for a consultation, send me a message on here or [email protected] to schedule something! Although it doesn't appear I have open slots, I actually do so feel free to reach out.

My approach to therapy

My approach is what I call clinically casual — grounded in research and experience, but relaxed, collaborative, and human. Therapy with me feels like a real conversation, not a test you have to pass. I want you to feel safe enough to be yourself, even when things are messy or uncomfortable.

In session, you can expect warmth, humor, and curiosity. We’ll explore how your past experiences may be shaping what you’re dealing with now, while also building practical tools you can start using right away. Whether we’re meeting online or in person, I work to create a space that feels personal, supportive, and free of judgment.

I’m not rigid, and I don’t believe therapy has to be full of worksheets to be effective — but I am intentional and results-focused. Clients who work with me are often seeking meaningful change, not just symptom relief. Using trauma-informed, integrative, and evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to help you feel stronger, clearer, and more capable in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect three things: support, clarity, and a collaborative plan. I’ll take time to understand what brings you in, what you’ve already tried, and what you hope will be different. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and less alone, while also giving you practical next steps you can start using right away. The fourth thing you may expect is a cat or two joining us on video!

Clients often describe our sessions as conversational yet impactful — a mix of warmth, humor, and honest guidance. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what’s going on, along with ideas and tools tailored to your situation. Because I intentionally keep a smaller caseload, I’m able to provide thoughtful, personalized attention as we move forward.

Whether you’re looking for space to process, education about patterns, or support in making meaningful changes, we’ll shape the work around your goals and pace. Therapy is collaborative, and while outcomes can’t be guaranteed, many clients find that having structure, insight, and steady support helps them create real movement in their lives.
