Great to meet you!

After 15 years as a first responder-turned-therapist, I believe wholeheartedly that our mutual efforts together make the world a better place. Your health matters to me, because we’re on the little blue ball together. Trauma has been our shared story throughout far too much of our mutual and respective histories. Let’s change that story together.

I maintain a strong systems focus that sees us as products of a history we didn’t choose, but that we are also fully capable of transcending. I am trained in EMDR and various other trauma and somatic approaches that aid traditional talk-based psychotherapy.

My approach to therapy

I abide by a maxim of Carl Jung in the statement: “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.”

To this end, your healthcare is too precious to be reduced to the verification of anyone’s particular pet theory. But if the screws were put to a descriptive approach for my ‘brand’ it would likely be humanistic, existential, psychodynamic and developmental.

What you can expect from me

We will likely laugh, we may get a little weird, we may stray far afield of what is commonly expected in polite conversation, but we will always chase what is meaningful to you.
