Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My training includes a pre-doctoral fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Dallas Medical Center. For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate challenges, discover strengths, and create meaningful change. I’m fluent in Spanish and deeply value providing a welcoming space for Spanish-speaking clients and families. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care—I strive to meet clients where they are and support them in building resilience and lasting well-being

My approach to therapy

I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems in adolescents and adults (ages 12 and up). Therapy often focuses on dealing with stress related to academic demands, difficulties in peer and romantic relationships, family conflict, low self-esteem, as well as helping individuals struggling with self-identity, or are simply overwhelmed during the transition to college or the work force for the first time.

My practice draws on elements from empirically supported treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I offer an emphatic, non-judgmental approach to treatment, where you will be understood and unconditionally accepted.

What you can expect from me

I believe it is important to work together to develop a plan to reduce your struggles by improving your ability to cope with life’s adversities, learn new ways to deal with emotions, and increase your ability to thrive in school and life in general. My goal is to establish a safe place where you can begin to address your problems and concerns.
