Great to meet you!

I want my clients to know that I view our work as a partnership. My role is to help create a space where you can explore your goals, challenges, and growth without judgment. I believe in meeting people where they are and building from their strengths. My background in both counseling and sport psychology shapes how I approach each session—grounded in evidence-based strategies, but always tailored to you as a person first, not just an athlete or performer.

I also want clients to know that I value relationships as the backbone of what I do. Trust and respect are essential, and I take confidentiality and ethics seriously. At the same time, I’ll challenge you to grow, because I believe that progress comes from pushing just past our comfort zone with support.

Most importantly, I want you to know that this is your space. My job is not to give you all the answers, but to walk with you as you discover what works best for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is built on relationships, trust, and collaboration. I see therapy as a space where clients can feel safe to bring both their struggles and their strengths. I lean on evidence-based practices, but I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I tailor sessions to the individual, meeting them where they are and helping them move toward where they want to be.

I draw from Choice Theory and a strengths-based perspective, encouraging clients to take ownership of their decisions while also recognizing the impact of their environment. I value balance—helping clients understand when to push, when to rest, and how to create boundaries that support both performance and well-being.

Above all, my approach is collaborative. I walk alongside my clients, not in front of them, and I believe growth comes from partnership. My goal is to help clients build skills, self-awareness, and confidence they can carry with them long after therapy ends.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a conversation that focuses on getting to know them—their story, goals, and what brought them in. I’ll explain my role, what therapy can look like, and the boundaries that come with it, including confidentiality and how we’ll work together.

It’s not about jumping straight into solutions. The first session is about building trust, clarifying expectations, and setting the foundation for the work ahead. We’ll talk through what’s important to the client, identify priorities, and begin to outline the direction we might go.

Clients can expect a balance of structure and openness. I’ll ask questions to guide the process, but I also want to create space for them to share what feels most pressing. By the end of that first meeting, the goal is for clients to feel a little more grounded, have a clearer sense of what therapy with me looks like, and know that they have a safe, supportive place to do the work.
