Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps adults navigate stress, emotional pain, and life transitions in a supportive and down-to-earth way. I work to create a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin making changes that actually fit your life—not someone else’s idea of how you should be.

My goal is to help clients feel empowered, grounded, and more connected to what matters most—so they can create meaningful, lasting change at their own pace.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT focuses on building awareness, learning to respond differently to discomfort, and taking steps toward the life you want to live. I help clients clarify their values, develop psychological flexibility, and build practical skills to move forward—even when things feel hard.

I have extensive experience providing individual therapy, treatment planning, and group work for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. I view therapy as a collaborative process and tailor sessions to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals.

In sessions, ACT often includes noticing patterns in thoughts and emotions, learning skills to relate to them differently, and practicing ways to stay present—especially during stressful moments. We focus on what truly matters to you and take small, realistic steps toward those values, even when discomfort shows up. Sessions are active, collaborative, and focused on real-life application, not just talking about problems.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brings you to therapy at your own pace. We’ll talk about your goals, what you’re hoping to change, and what’s been feeling most challenging lately. I’ll ask some questions to understand your background, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. By the end of the session, we’ll identify a few initial areas of focus and make sure the approach feels like a good fit for you.
