Great to meet you!

My name is Brittany Edwards and I am a licensed professional counselor. I graduated with my masters in clinical mental health counseling from Regent university. My approach to counseling is personal centered and integrative counseling. Primary diagnosis I work with include (but are not limited to) anxiety, depression, adhd, ptsd and mood disorders. Prior to working in private practice I gained clinical experience in multiple settings including hospice counseling, multiple community based programs (including Intensive in home and mental health skill building), hospital settings, SAIOP programs, and case management. Additionally, I supervised multiple qualified mental health professionals as a clinical supervisor. My time in crisis counseling services has given me the experience needed to assess if higher levels of care are needed and ensure clients have the appropriate level of care for thier needs.

My approach to therapy

I am a person centered integrative counselor, which is a clinical way of saying I listen to your needs and I utilized the therapeutic approaches within my training that will benefit your needs. It also means we can shift clinical directions as needed.

What you can expect from me

Each experience is unique based on your needs for counseling. One thing you can always take away is that I will listen and meet you where you are at. We will always create a person centered and holistic plan to meet your needs.
