Great to meet you!

I believe that a child’s behavior often tells a story about their experiences, emotions, and unmet needs. My goal is to understand that story with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each child’s unique developmental perspective. I work primarily with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, aggression, family stress, behavioral concerns, foster care/adoption transitions, and parent-child relationship challenges.

I specialize in play therapy, expressive arts therapy, and child-parent relationship therapy. I also deeply value collaboration with parents and caregivers, because caregivers are often the most powerful source of healing and growth in a child’s life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is humanistic, child-centered, warm, and affirming. With young children, I often use play therapy because play is one of the most natural ways children communicate, process emotions, and make sense of their world. I honor each child’s personhood and strive to create a therapeutic space where they feel safe, understood, and accepted.

I also work closely with caregivers to build supportive, growth-promoting environments outside of session. Through caregiver collaboration and filial therapy, I help parents and caregivers strengthen connection, respond more effectively to their child’s needs, and become active agents of healing in their child’s life.

What you can expect from me

Families can expect a compassionate, collaborative space where both the child and caregiver feel supported. My hope is that children leave therapy feeling more understood, confident, and emotionally secure, while caregivers gain practical insight into what their child may be communicating through behavior.

Together, we will work toward strengthening emotional expression, improving coping skills, building self-esteem, reducing behavioral challenges, and supporting healthier family relationships. I view therapy as a journey we walk together, with care, patience, and respect for your child and family’s unique story.
