Great to meet you!

Most people don't call me because things just started getting difficult. They've usually tried to push through, white-knuckle it, or convince themselves it's not that bad...until it is. I work with adults navigating trauma, psychosis, burnout, anxiety and other life challenges. Many of my clients are sharp, self-aware people who are good at managing alone, and starting to wonder if "managing" is as good as it gets. Some have had previous experiences in therapy that left them feeling unheard and unhelped. If your experience hasn't fit neatly into categories you've been offered before, that's what I make room for.

Each person has unique needs in therapy. I draw from evidence-based approaches — including DBT, ACT, self-compassion and trauma-focused modalities — and body-based work like somatic therapy and trauma-sensitive yoga. We will work together to develop an individualized approach that works for you.

Reaching out is often the hardest part. And if you've made it this far down the page, you've probably already done some of that work just by looking. You don't have to have the right words yet, or even be sure this is the right call. That's something we can figure out together. Let's talk.

My approach to therapy

In my work I regularly use components of: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Sensorimotor Therapy and Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). Together, we will decide on an approach that works best for you.

What you can expect from me

Therapy begins with feeling safe and comfortable — and that's exactly where we'll start. Together, we'll take the time to understand what's brought you to therapy, explore how these challenges developed, and identify what you most want to change. From there, we'll collaborate on an approach that feels right for you.
