Great to meet you!

I've worked in community mental health settings that have been field-based, in college counseling offices, high schools, and offices, which offers me various experiences to pull from when working with a client. The areas I have experience in are ADHD, Anxiety, Burnout, Depression, Family Conflict, Grief, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, Stress, Trans+, and Trauma.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is inspired by a relational psychodynamic perspective that offers and encourages space to explore how past experiences shape present patterns of relating to others and the self. The purpose of this is to create new sustainable ways of interacting in the present to improve emotional and psychological well-being. I have worked with individuals from the Kink, Latinx, LGBT+, and neurodiverse communities to mitigate the impact of stressors by employing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and trauma narratives. I have served clients in both private and community mental health settings to address barriers created by anxiety, trauma, and unexpected life transitions. Focus areas of practice include ADHD, Anxiety, Burnout, Depression, Family Conflict, Grief, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, Stress, Trans+, and Trauma.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, a client can expect to identify the presenting problem, review relevant history, discuss significant relationships, and collaborate on the creation of a goal that will assist in navigating the therapeutic process. We'll use the following sessions to build rapport and collaborate on the creation of a treatment plan that is open to adjustment as needed.
