Great to meet you!

I received a BSW from the University of North Texas in 1990 and an MSW from the University of Maryland in 1993 and have worked in the fields of community mental health, grief and loss, foster care and adoption, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder. I specialize in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

I am certified in Brainspotting and Critical Incident Stress Management and am recognized as a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.

My approach to therapy

My approach is tailored to the client, but I am always gentle and respectful. By the time people decide to come to counseling, they have been through much, and meeting with me should feel like a safe place to land. The client is always the expert in their own life.

What you can expect from me

You will be safe with me, and you should leave the first session with hope and practical tools to use between sessions. You should feel understood, accepted, and supported.
