Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Carrington and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Polyvagal Theory.

I primarily work with complex clinical cases and presentations, including trauma, personality disorders, OCD, eating disorders, and chronic suicidality. I have found that these areas often overlap with each other and require a more nuanced, individualized approach.

I also take pride in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and aim to provide a space that is affirming, nonjudgmental, and grounded in genuine understanding. My goal is to create a space where nothing about your experience or identity needs to be filtered or simplified.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and incorporates many elements of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

I pay close attention to patterns—how you relate to others, how you experience yourself, and how your past shows up in the present. I’m an active and engaged therapist, and I don’t take a passive or overly scripted approach. We’ll go deeper than surface-level coping skills while also identifying practical ways to create change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a collaborative conversation where we begin to understand your story, what’s been most difficult, and what you want to change. I’ll ask questions, but the space won’t feel rigid or overly clinical.
