Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field, beginning my clinical work in 2014. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, and crisis situations. I am also experienced in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and creating an affirming, inclusive therapeutic space.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I draw from several evidence-based modalities, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I value helping clients build skills that can be applied not only in therapy, but in everyday life to manage emotions, improve relationships, and navigate challenges with greater confidence.

Having spent many years working within school settings, I also have extensive experience supporting caregivers in advocating for their children and navigating educational systems. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful change happens within the context of a strong therapeutic relationship. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, and feel comfortable being honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself.

As a therapist, I value transparency and genuine connection. While I bring clinical knowledge and expertise to the therapy process, I also recognize that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we will work as a team to better understand your experiences, identify your goals, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.

I believe that first and foremost, we are human beings. Therapy does not have to feel cold, clinical, or intimidating. My goal is to foster a relationship where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also feeling comfortable enough to have open and honest conversations, even when those conversations are difficult. I will meet you with compassion, authenticity, and directness, helping you build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change that feels meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal during our first session is to help you feel comfortable and get to know you beyond the challenges that brought you to therapy. We will spend time building a connection, exploring what led you to seek support, and discussing what you hope to gain from our work together. I also want to understand what has been helpful—or unhelpful—in the past so that we can create an approach that feels right for you. Most importantly, our first session is an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good fit and begin building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and authenticity.
