Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Chelsea! I am a therapist that values authenticity and openness in my practice that goes both ways. I strive to build a conversational-style atmosphere to help dissolve the barriers to care tied up in clinical "sterility". My experience has been significantly trauma-focused, and I feel confident and comfortable working with folks who have had a lot of life lived by the time they come to therapy.

My approach to therapy

In my work, I utilize a collaborative, client-centered approach based primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help guide you to your personal idea of peace and fulfillment. However, I also like to utilize the therapeutic relationship itself and emotional experiences to draw insights and find clarity. As a bisexual therapist, I am especially passionate serving the LGBTQ+ community and those in non-monogamous relationship styles.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a space where clients feel like they are learning more about themselves than they knew before. Theme-building is a big part of my work, and my goal is to help clients see things from a different perspective to promote growth. I also like to create a cozy space, so come in your comfy clothes, bring your favorite security item, and don't feel like you have to censor yourself. I was raised by generations of Sailors; four-letter words are my love language!
