Great to meet you!

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, as well as men exploring emotional expression, identity, and role expectations. I also bring 7 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor working with adolescents and adults across residential, educational, and correctional settings, which has deepened my understanding of how environment, relationships, and life experiences shape each person’s story.

It’s not uncommon to feel weighed down by well-worn patterns or uncertain about the chapters still ahead. Many clients come to therapy seeking support to build coping skills, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships, and deepen self-confidence.

Therapy offers a space to slow down and reflect on the story so far—those well-worn pages that have shaped you—while also gently making room for the unwritten chapters still forming. Together, we work to make sense of your experience without judgment, so what has felt overwhelming can begin to feel more understandable and workable.

My approach to therapy

Through a collaborative, strengths-based approach, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices to support awareness, emotional regulation, and practical skill-building. Our work is paced in a way that respects both where you’ve been and what you’re ready to explore next.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, collaborative space where we begin getting to know your story at your pace. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most present or challenging right now, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is a space to start where you are.

I’ll also ask questions to better understand your history, current stressors, and any patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship concerns. For clients navigating men’s issues, this may also include exploring identity, emotional expression, and role expectations in a supportive, nonjudgmental way.

Together, we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing may support your needs. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a feel for my style, and see whether the fit feels right for you.

Overall, the first session is about slowing down, beginning to make sense of your experience, and taking the first step in shaping the work ahead—at a pace that feels comfortable and grounded for you.
