Great to meet you!

Hello there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist with more than 20 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide range of settings, including inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, outpatient mental health, school-based therapy, domestic violence services, supportive housing, and correctional environments. These diverse experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the unique strengths, challenges, and life experiences each person brings to therapy.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a genuine connection. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where people from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life feel heard, respected, and empowered. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I strive to meet you where you are and tailor treatment to your individual needs.

My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we will build practical skills to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, strengthen resilience, and move toward the life you want to live.

One of the most important lessons I share with clients is the value of learning to pause. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to react before we have the opportunity to process what we’re feeling. Taking time to pause, emotionally regulate, and respond with intention can be a powerful step toward healing, healthier relationships, and lasting personal growth.

I believe that everyone has the capacity for change, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our first sessions will consist of developing therapeutic rapport as an intake assessment is completed. In future sessions, we will use evidence based practices to create treatment goals. In addition, the individuals strengths will be identified and incorporated into treatment planning to overcome various mental health symptoms helping improve our relationships with ourselves, others and cultural expectations.
