Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Dr. Chimezie Agomoh, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Taking the first step toward mental wellness can feel daunting, but you don't have to navigate it alone. With a doctoral degree in nursing, my practice blends evidence-based psychiatric medication management with tailored therapy. I treat a wide spectrum of conditions, focusing on ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, stress, and career burnout. I view care as a partnership, looking at the whole person to build a sustainable path toward emotional balance. Let's work together to build a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My psychiatric care is rooted in a collaborative, whole-person philosophy balancing clinical science with human connection. As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a background in crisis care and research, I view mental wellness holistically.

I blend precise medication management with tailored therapies, integrating CBT to reshape negative thoughts and SFBT for practical steps forward. Healing is a partnership; we will work side by side to monitor progress and build long-term resilience.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is designed to be a thorough, comfortable, and completely collaborative experience. Rather than a rigid medical evaluation, our initial appointment is a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can freely share your story.

We will begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. I approach care through a holistic lens, so I will take the time to deeply understand your unique history, current stressors, physical health, and your long-term wellness goals. I am genuinely interested in how your mental, emotional, and physical well-being are interacting to affect your daily life.

Once we have a complete picture of your needs, we will work side by side to lay the foundation for your care. I utilize a model called differential therapeutics, which means we will pinpoint the exact, personalized blend of treatments that fit you best. Together, we will discuss evidence-based options that may combine precise medication management with supportive psychotherapy techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

By the end of our first visit, you won't just leave with a plan; you will leave with a partnership. My ultimate goal for our initial time together is to empower you with immediate, practical tools and a clear, manageable roadmap toward reclaiming your personal stability and vitality.
