I lived an entire life prior to going back to school to earn my master's. I guess some would call me a "late bloomer", however, I was able to live my life and experience things prior to learning how and why I did them. You can be assured, when I say "I get it", I truly do.
I specialize in substance use therapy, anxiety, trauma and grief.
What I have learned the most, is you are the one sharing your journey with me, I'll listen and help you to identify things that you may be overlooking. CBT, Motivational Interviewing, positive psychology are the approaches I often use.
What clients can take away from a session with me is the inquisitiveness of wanting to know why we behave in certain ways, and how we can take steps to change behavior.
