Christy Wyman

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in healthcare, behavioral health and community services. I attended college at Southeast Missouri State University receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree and obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Missouri Columbia. I've worked in hospitals, crisis settings, long term care and leadership roles supporting individuals and families through difficult life transitions. I help clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, relationships concerns and adjustment to health or aging related concerns. My approach is warm, practical and supportive combining compassion with the tools that help clients create meaningful progress.

I have a supportive and down to earth approach, creating a space where clients feel comfortable, respected and understood. I use a client centered style that combines empathy with strategies clients can apply in everyday life. I specialize in helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress and relationships challenges as well as life transitions. I also have strong experience supporting older adults, caregivers and those adjusting to medical or aging related changes.

In your first session with me you can expect a judgement free space where you can share at your own pace. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges your facing and what changes you would like to see in your life. Together, we will begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you, whether that's reducing anxiety, improving mood, healing from past experiences, strengthening relationships or building coping skills. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported and hopeful about the path forward.
