Great to meet you!

I'm a queer Neuropsychologist specializing in trauma-informed ADHD & Autism assessment, Cognitive Remediation Treatment (learn skills to help you organize, plan, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, understand, and harness your strengths), and culturally-grounded Psychotherapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach focuses on the intersectionality of neurodiversity and other marginalized identities.

As your therapist, I serve as a guide, not leader or advice-giver. Of course, there are times that I may share information or remind you of things to better enable you to make the most informed choices. But in general, think of me as a navigational guide like GPS but without needing to know how far 100 meters actually is!

Your history and lived experiences represent the vehicle, what your capacity and engine can handle. Your environment and relationships represent the map. Your values inform your goals and aspirations. You are the one who sets your destination and does the work of driving

My role is to get you there in the safest and most manageable way possible. Together, we can navigate the hidden twists and turns, bumps in the road, and unexpected detours to enable you to reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

An intake appointment can be daunting to many so over the years I have developed a procedure to 'pre-meet' over the phone for a free 15-minute consultation to check in about intake procedures (no surprises!), to confirm alignment with your goals and what I have to offer, and finally to put you at ease. The intake appointment isn't an interrogation, and there are no 'wrong answers.' I see it as an opportunity to tell your story and begin the process of giving you back the control of the narrative.
