Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My approach is rooted in the belief that mental wellness is a collaborative journey, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard.

Areas of Specialization While I work with a wide range of mental health concerns, I have particular expertise in:

  • Anxiety & Mood Disorders: Helping clients manage depression, panic, and generalized anxiety.
  • ADHD Management: Providing comprehensive evaluations and personalized strategies for focus and productivity.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Supporting individuals navigating the long-term effects of difficult life experiences.
  • Medication Management: Using a "less is more" philosophy to find the most effective pharmacological support when needed, always paired with supportive therapy.

My approach to therapy

My practice style is built on collaboration and curiosity, not just clinical checklists. I view our relationship as a partnership: you are the expert on your life and your history, and I am the expert on the tools—clinical, pharmacological, and therapeutic—that can help you feel better.

My Clinical Style

  • The "Whole Person" Lens: I don't just treat symptoms; I look at the big picture. We’ll discuss your sleep, nutrition, stress levels, and relationships, as these are often just as impactful as brain chemistry.
  • A "Less is More" Philosophy: When it comes to medication, my goal is the lowest effective dose. I aim to find the right balance that minimizes side effects while maximizing your quality of life.
  • Warmth & Transparency: I believe in explaining the "why" behind every recommendation. You will never leave a session wondering about the rationale for our plan.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is what I call a Diagnostic Evaluation, but it’s really more of a conversation to build a foundation. It’s a 60-minute space dedicated entirely to understanding your story and what brought you here.

Here is exactly what you can expect:

  • A Deep Dive into Your History: We’ll go beyond your current symptoms. We’ll discuss your medical history, any past experiences with mental health care, your family history, and—importantly—what has worked (or hasn't) for you in the past.
  • The "Big Picture" Assessment: I’ll ask about your lifestyle, including sleep patterns, nutrition, energy levels, and social support. This helps me understand the external factors influencing your internal wellbeing.
  • Goal Setting: We will identify your "priority goals." Whether it’s sleeping through the night, reducing panic attacks, or gaining the focus needed for work, we’ll define what success looks like for you.
  • Collaborative Planning: Before the session ends, we will develop a preliminary treatment plan together. This might include a recommendation for lab work, a discussion about starting or adjusting medication, or referrals to specific types of therapy.
  • Space for Your Questions: I leave plenty of time for you to interview me. I want you to feel confident in my approach and comfortable with the path we’re charting.
