Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Psychotherapist who is passionate about supporting adults in their journey toward healing, stability, and personal growth. I work with individuals ages 18–65 across diverse cultural backgrounds, providing psychotherapy for concerns including anxiety, stress management, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, family dysfunction, adjustment disorders, social anxiety, and substance and alcohol use. I have extensive experience working with individuals navigating addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and co-occurring mental health disorders.

I also have a strong interest in supporting women’s issues, life transitions, and identity development. For clients who desire it, I am able to incorporate faith-based perspectives into the therapeutic process, honoring the role spirituality can play in healing, resilience, and personal transformation. I believe therapy should be both supportive and results-driven, helping clients build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My professional experience spans school-based, community, and outpatient mental health settings, where I’ve utilized evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based interventions. My work also includes specialized experience supporting individuals impacted by substance use and addiction, utilizing relapse prevention planning, behavioral analysis, and motivational enhancement strategies to support sustainable recovery.

My approach is eclectic, culturally responsive, and grounded in creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences openly. In addition to my clinical practice, I have completed doctoral-level education that further informs my therapeutic perspective, research insight, and depth of clinical conceptualization.

When appropriate and aligned with a client’s values, I am also able to integrate faith-based or spiritually informed perspectives into treatment, ensuring care that is holistic, respectful, and congruent with each client’s belief system while remaining rooted in evidence-based practice.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can speak openly about what’s bringing you to therapy at your own pace. During this initial meeting, we’ll explore your presenting concerns, personal history, current stressors, and any goals you’d like to work toward. I also take time to understand your strengths, coping patterns, and the areas of life where you may feel stuck or overwhelmed.

Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities for treatment and establishing realistic, meaningful goals tailored to your needs — whether that involves managing anxiety, processing trauma, improving relationships, addressing substance use, or navigating life transitions. You can also expect transparency about the therapeutic process, collaboration in treatment planning, and space to ask questions. My intention is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we’ll do together.
