Great to meet you!

You may be exhausted from feeling like you are either too much or not enough while trying to keep up with a world that already feels overwhelming. If you have been living with trauma, intense emotions, substance use, or patterns that leave you feeling stuck in guilt or shame, therapy can be a place to step out of survival mode and start building something steadier. I work with individuals in Colorado who are ready to move away from self-destructive coping and toward change that actually lasts.

My background is in supporting people who have spent a long time relying on maladaptive coping strategies to get through overwhelming experiences. I specialize in substance use, personality disorders, trauma, and mood disorders, and I also work with people who feel emotionally overloaded, disconnected, or worn down by patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to offer a space where your experiences are taken seriously, your strengths are recognized, and real change feels possible.

My approach to therapy

My approach is both empathetic and direct. I want therapy to feel supportive, honest, and practical, not performative or one-size-fits-all. I use evidence-based tools to help clients change maladaptive coping strategies, regulate emotions, and build healthier patterns that hold up outside the therapy room.

My work is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. We are not chasing perfection. We are working toward more balance, stronger coping skills, healthier relationships, and a life that feels more meaningful and manageable. We move at your pace, with the goal of helping you shift out of survival mode and into a life that feels more grounded, connected, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my goal in the first session is to make the process feel clear, calm, and manageable. We will spend time exploring your history, current symptoms, and what you want help changing, without pressure to share more than feels comfortable. I want you to feel heard, respected, and understood from the start.

Our first session is also the beginning of a collaborative plan. Together, we will start identifying the patterns that are keeping you stuck, the strengths you can build on, and the goals that matter most to you. The goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of direction and a stronger understanding of how we can work together toward lasting change.
