Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Colleen! After dedicating decades to the mental health field before earning my Master of Science in Psychology from Hope International University, I have found my true passion in assisting individuals to improve their quality of life through therapy. It is a profound honor to walk alongside you on your path of self-discovery and growth, helping to cultivate a secure and empowering foundation for your healing journey. I enjoy working with adults who are struggling with life transitions, codependency, women's issues, aging, anxiety, stress, divorce, and depression. Together, we will explore any issues that might be impacting your ability to get in touch with your true self, with the ultimate goal of helping you improve your relationships with yourself and those around you.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the most meaningful emotional growth happens when we blend clinical expertise with an authentic, human connection. I use a variety of different approaches and tools to meet your individual needs, drawing upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices. I engage with my clients using an open, direct, and authentic communication style, always striving to meet you where you are, understand your needs, and provide honest feedback. My approach to goal setting is a deeply collaborative process that begins with listening to you, identifying the hurdles in your way, and setting tangible goals together. By combining these evidence-based techniques with compassion and reality-based therapy, we can translate your insights into lasting, positive change.

What you can expect from me

My hope is that our sessions serve as a calm, non-judgmental retreat where you can step away from the daily stressors of life. In the first session, you can expect us to gently explore your history and symptoms as you answer questions so that I can better understand you, build rapport, establish your client-centered goals, and manage the expectations of therapy. We will move at a pace that feels entirely comfortable for you without any pressure. The process is fully collaborative; as much as I want to get to know you, I also want to make sure that I am the right fit to support your needs.
