Great to meet you!
I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 21 years of experience working in community and mental health settings as a clinician, supervisor, educator, and director. I specialize in grief, dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities, and navigating life transitions. My work is informed by extensive experience supporting individuals and families as they navigate complex responsibilities, relationship dynamics, past trauma, and periods of significant change.
I also have deep experience working with the geriatric population, caregivers, and individuals facing end-of-life concerns. Caregiving can be emotionally demanding and isolating, and I strive to offer a space where caregivers feel supported, validated, and understood while developing practical strategies to sustain their own well-being.
A central focus of my practice is working with adolescents and adults with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. As someone who has dyslexia and faced significant struggles throughout my own educational experience, I understand firsthand how learning differently can impact confidence, self-worth, and emotional health. I am also the parent of two children with dyslexia, which led me to become a strong advocate to ensure they received the services and support they needed to succeed. These personal and professional experiences deeply inform my work and allow me to bring both empathy and insight into the therapy room.
