Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a mental health provider started with a deep interest in understanding people’s inner worlds and how early experiences shape who we become. I’ve always been drawn to helping others feel seen, heard, and supported, especially during difficult times. Throughout my graduate training, I had the opportunity to work in community mental health and high school counseling settings. Those experiences exposed me to a wide range of clients, from young adults navigating identity & stress to individuals coping with long-standing patterns of emotional pain. I found myself drawn to working with clients who experienced depression and anxiety because these conditions can be so isolating & yet so treatable with the right kind of support.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Courtney J. Wilson is a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) practitioner. Dr. Wilson focuses on helping clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that can contribute to emotional distress. Whether you are struggling with depression or another mental health challenge, Dr. Wilson offers a thoughtful and effective approach to help you achieve long-term emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

When working with me, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we collaborate to understand your experiences and work toward meaningful change. In our first few sessions, we’ll complete an intake assessment to explore your history, current concerns, and goals. I tailor therapy to your needs using a strengths-based and practical approach. Progress may look like improved mood, increased insight, better coping tools, or stronger relationships. I enjoy working with adults and young adults navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, or self-esteem issues. Whether you're new to therapy or returning, I’ll meet you where you are with empathy and respect.
