Great to meet you!

I have been practicing psychology for over 40 years. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and seniors, providing counseling and assessment in settings including individual counseling, telehealth, hospital practice, and professional advocacy. I am also a psychologist certified in the United Kingdom, where I worked for 5 years. I am comfortable seeing a wide range of patients with diverse referral problems.

My approach to therapy

I work best with individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves and are open to thoughtful, collaborative psychological work. The patients I tend to work with most meaningfully with those who are those who are willing to reflect on their experiences, consider new ways of understanding longstanding patterns, and actively participate in the process of change. Whether addressing acute stressors, longstanding emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, or questions of identity and life direction, I find that productive therapy occurs when a patient is curious, honest, and engages collaboratively. While you will find that I'm an excellent listener, I also actively participate with my clients.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. This is a relaxed, supportive conversation—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we start this journey together at your own pace.
