Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor with a Masters and Doctorate. My doctoral studies focus was attachment and trauma. I worked 25 years with at-risk youth, families, couples, and individuals. I specialize in attachment, trauma, anxiety, and family issues.

I employ a nurturing, positive stance using active listening. I believe I am an agent of change and seek to bring my excitement and enthusiasm to the fore to encourage clients to take those difficult steps toward change.

My approach to therapy

I am direct and empathic with people. My approach to counseling is person-centered and eclectic, combining attachment-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to meet the needs of my clients.

What you can expect from me

I encourage my clients to work on building skills to add to their 'management toolbox.' Generally, my clients have homework between sessions.

Change is hard and I will be there with you every step of your journey, cheering you on and guiding you to reach your goals and achieve mental wellness. I look forward to working with you.
