Great to meet you!

Attachment injuries and loss can affect how we feel about ourselves and limit our engagement with others. I can help you identify and let go of emotional reactivity and defensiveness. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 12 years of experience, it is an absolute privilege to help you establish a safe, empowering baseline for your care. I specialize in relationship issues, supporting young adults, couples, and families, with a deep focus on adoption and child and family conflict. I love working with people who seek personal and spiritual growth, and I feel that my work is most effective with people who are curious about their life purpose. I believe that mind, body, and soul are interconnected and therefore aim to promote physical health, personal growth, and self-realization. Being Daoist, I value living authentically, inner peace, and aligning with nature. If you feel that you are stuck in a loop, this work can help you let go and move on.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and systems-oriented, as our reality, habits, and relational style are influenced by the environment and culture we grow up and live in. I offer Somatic therapy and EMDR to support people struggling with post-traumatic stress. Processing trauma in this way helps release emotional charge stored in the body to overcome past experiences that hold us back from living life fully. In order to calm the nervous system down and train it to maintain a state of wellbeing, I often incorporate somatic therapy techniques including meditation, breathwork, grounding, and moving meditations. By balancing these evidence-based clinical practices with deep personal connection, we can foster genuine emotional growth. Together, we will outline tangible goals to ensure our work translates into lasting and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step to help takes immense courage, and I strive to cultivate a calm, non-judgmental environment that allows you to step away from daily stress right from the start. In our first session, I would like to hear of things you value and what you would like to be different in your life. We will use this initial hour to explore your history, symptoms, and client-centered goals at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure. I want to make sure you feel completely heard and comfortable as we outline a roadmap for your healing. Grow Therapy makes it easy to check your insurance coverage and see your costs upfront, so we can focus entirely on your care.
