I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have 7 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from child and adult inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization, Geriatrics, Forensics, and substance abuse treatment. While attending Graduate School through Walden University, I was the Nurse Manager in one of the largest Behavioral Health Hospitals in Miami.
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for children, adolescent, and adult clients ages 13 and older. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.
A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options
