Great to meet you!

I’m Danielle, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to creating a warm and compassionate space for adults, teens, and couples. My passion is helping clients gain self-awareness, connect with truth, and heal. In therapy, I strive to foster curiosity, challenge unhealthy patterns, and highlight strengths—so that each person feels truly seen and heard. I aim to help clients cultivate compassion, embrace growth, and step into their most authentic selves.

As someone who has navigated the complexities of being bicultural—specifically Ghanaian-American—I understand the challenges of finding belonging and breaking free from patterns like people-pleasing.”. My own journey of self-discovery—learning to challenge internalized messages, stay grounded in my values, and embrace differentiation—deepens my empathy and informs my work. I hope to support my clients in finding clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance on their own journeys.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island, as well as a Master’s in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy creative pursuits, walks with my dog, thrifting, and competitive rounds of Bananagrams. And when I need a good laugh, I’m probably rewatching New Girl—again.

My approach to therapy

My work is rooted in a systemic perspective, recognizing how family, culture, and environment shape your experiences and sense of self. I integrate Narrative Therapy to help you explore these influences, quiet your inner critic, and process deep-seated beliefs. Through this approach, you can reframe past narratives, externalize negative messages, and build confidence. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating identity formation, self-worth, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma.

I also help couples prioritize connection over the need to be right. Drawing from Relational Life Therapy, I guide you in recognizing the patterns that shape your interactions—whether you’re responding as an adaptive child or a wise adult, as described by Terrence Real. Through our work together, I'll help you navigate barriers in your relationship, resolve conflict, communicate more effectively, and understand how past trauma or unresolved pain may be impacting your connection. My goal is to support you in building a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

What you can expect from me

It is my hope that clients would feel empowered, experience greater emotional freedom, build resilience, and gain a deeper connection to self. For couples, it's my aim to support them in building a healthier connection with themselves and each other.
