Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Danielle Gordon, MSW, LCSW, CCTP-II, C-DBT, and it's wonderful to have you here!

I am an outpatient licensed psychotherapist in the state of Pennsylvania providing individual therapy services, and couples counseling, to those who are in pursuit of genuinely identifying and living a meaningful life, that they see as worth living.

It is a absolute honor and privilege to have the opportunity to support individuals throughout their journey as they navigate the heights and depths of human resiliency.

I received my undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Alvernia University, and my graduate degree Master of Social Work with a Concentration in Administrative Studies (MSW) from Marywood University. In addition to this, I am in pursuit of nearing the end of my doctorate degree in Social Work with a Concentration in Clinical Expertise (DSW) with only dissertation left prior to finishing.

My approach to therapy

It is important to me to be intentional about meeting my patients where they are at, wherever that may be. I tend to approach individuals through a non-judgmental lens, with compassion, empathy, kindness, and validation. Throughout the development of building a strong therapeutic relationship, I feel that it is important to develop safety and security to hold space for honest, and transparent conversations in pursuing do the inner work, to achieve the overall goals that are identified by what you vision for yourself.

As a therapist, my goal is to support you throughout the process of getting to know yourself better, and collaboratively work together to identify ways to overcome challenges, and barriers that separate you from the life that you want to, and deserve to live.

What you can expect from me

Anytime I am meeting with someone, especially for the first time, I aim for it to be as comfortable of a process as possible. I prefer that our dialogue is an open conversation with shared space to hold for one another in pursuit of me getting to know you better, and you too, getting to know me better.

Upon our initial session of meeting I would like to have the opportunity to hear from you directly about some of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions, to better understand the reasons that have decided to pursue therapy in this era of life.

In addition to this, during the first session I would like to get a better idea of some of your goals to get a stronger understanding so we can collaboratively work together in developing and outlining treatment goals for yourself.
