Great to meet you!
Brasileira of origin, my early clinical training was in psychology. For more than 25 years, I have focused on working alongside the community to support individuals and families navigating a wide range of human experiences. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with individuals and families facing acute challenges, including suicidality, eating disorders, bullying, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression.
My work is grounded in feminist and narrative approaches, and I pay close attention to how social contexts, relationships, and stories influence suffering and pain. I have also worked closely with the LatinX community through research and community-based projects focused on housing and homelessness.
In therapy, I support people across many human experiences, including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and pet-related grief. I strive to create a collaborative and thoughtful space where clients can be active participants in their lives and come to know their unique qualities and abilities.
Besides my clinical experience, I have a deep love for animals, nature, and writing. I have volunteered as part of a pet-assisted therapy team with my beloved dog through a local organization in hospitals, libraries, and schools, and this work connects my heart to a long-standing commitment to relational healing, presence, and the quiet forms of care that support both people and communities.
