Great to meet you!

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? (Mary Oliver) It’s THE question.

I have found that working with ADHD/executive functioning as well as difficult life transitions has become a passion. Life is packed full of challenges. This is a certainty, and I will be honored to walk with you down your path!

My approach is eclectic, tailored, grounded in ACT, EFT/EFIT, Gottman Method. IFS, Schema and Polyvagal strategies. We collaborate to form goals that change as your story unfolds. It's a relationship. You can expect a good dose of humor as well. I hold certifications in integrative medicine, mindfulness and nutrition for mental health and ADHD treatment.

At Harmony Wellness and Counseling I strive to balance practical tools and the harder to reach, deeper understandings and insights in our work. My goal is to help you reconnect with YOUR values, YOUR voice and YOUR true north - and watch you move forward. It's an honor to hold space for your healing. If you're ready, I'm here for it all.

My approach to therapy

I believe in treating/meeting the whole person, coming along side you and working as a team to accomplish goals based on your value system. I have a foundational background in Cognitive Behavioral therapy that has led to additional training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy, a mindfulness-based approach aimed at developing "Psychological Flexibility". Understanding that everyone is unique is important to tailor an approach that works for you. The Internal Family Systems Model is very helpful in navigating trauma and confusing dynamics that tend to show up in unwanted places. Polyvagal theory has proven to be a powerful ally to many. Compassion Focused Therapy is heavily infused as well as mindfulness/meditation as it seems everyone can benefit from finding a little more safety and focus in their own minds and bodies. In couples counseling, I mostly pull from the Gottman Method and Emotions Focused Therapy but integrate Schema related concepts as well.

I strive to help find balance the mind, body, and spirit as it exemplifies the whole person. One way of finding this balance is through my training in Integrative and Nutritional Medicine for Mental Health, certification as an Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP), always keeping scope of practice in mind. I am also a Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP). I use both in most areas of counseling including an additional specialization with ADHD/Executive Functioning with as a Certified ADHD-Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).

What you can expect from me

I hope to build authentic relationships that I believe are, in itself, healing. Everyone is unique and deserves compassion as they uncover POWERFUL driving forces in their life and start down the road of changing habits, automatic internal (or external) thoughts that lead to a life that moves you.

Forming an individualized plans based on what works for you is essential. You can expect patience, compassion, and a good dose of humor in your sessions.

I'm here to be a helper. Bottom line is not all things work for all people; the important thing is to find what moves you!
