Great to meet you!

I strive to provide my patient's with a safe environment where they can explore their unique issues and begin the process of change and healing. It is important to harmonize your mind and explore the person you are becoming as you experience the world through the positive and negative events. We experience many changes, but we need to explore what to do with the changes, situations, such as grief, divorce, death, effects of combat, work related stress, physical limitations and mental health symptoms. Additionally, utilize psychological testing for diagnostic certainty, explore symptoms or for specialized evaluations (Learning Disabilities, Disability Evaluations, Military and Forensics).

My approach to therapy

Individual Psychotherapy refers to conversations aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts and behaviors. It allows to reach mental clarity, using techniques like CBT to reframe thoughts, connections and identifying thought challenges to improve quality of life by engaging in daily activities and homework.

What you can expect from me

In individual therapy, talking and sharing is generally the expectation and the primary vehicle for progress. A client's first session (intake) focuses on building rapport, understanding their needs, and setting expectations through history-taking. The individual must be willing to share their concerns and engage in an open conversation. We will explore emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and experiences, helping individuals understand problems, develop coping skills and find healthier ways to manage life's challenges for personal growth and healing.
