Great to meet you!

I often work with thoughtful, introspective people who feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite understand. You might struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or a sense that you’re living according to expectations that don’t fully reflect who you are.

I tend to work well with people who are curious about themselves and interested in understanding the deeper patterns shaping their lives. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-reflective individuals who want more than quick coping strategies. They’re looking for space to explore their inner world and create meaningful change in how they relate to themselves and others.

I work especially well with clients exploring identity, emotional expression, relationships, and personal growth. I also have a particular interest in working with men who want to understand the impact of cultural expectations around masculinity and develop a healthier relationship with themselves and others.

Over the years I’ve come to believe that meaningful change often happens when we slow down and become curious about our inner lives. Therapy can be a place to reflect, make sense of patterns that may have developed over time, and begin living in a way that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My work is influenced by psychodynamic therapy and an integrative, experiential approach. In practice, this means we explore not only what’s happening in your life right now, but also the deeper patterns and experiences that may have shaped how you relate to yourself and others.

I draw from several approaches including relational therapy, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices. Sometimes we focus on thoughts and patterns, and other times we pay attention to emotions, body sensations, or dreams as ways of understanding your inner world.

Rather than focusing only on symptom relief, I’m interested in helping clients develop insight into the deeper dynamics shaping their lives. As that awareness grows, people often find that change begins to happen more naturally.

Therapy can be challenging work, but it can also be meaningful, creative, and even enjoyable at times. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore honestly and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other and seeing if the fit feels right. You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time. Most people simply start by sharing what’s been going on in their lives or what led them to seek therapy now.

I’ll ask some questions to understand your background, current challenges, and what you’re hoping might change through therapy. We’ll also talk a bit about how I work and what therapy together might look like.

My style tends to be engaged and collaborative. I offer reflections, observations, and questions while respecting your pace and comfort level. Many clients find that even the first session brings some relief simply from being able to talk openly and feel understood.

If we decide to continue working together, we’ll gradually begin identifying patterns and areas of focus so therapy can support the changes you’re hoping to make.
