Great to meet you!

I started my clinical career in Substance Use treatment close to 25 years ago. Substance Use has its complex issues for the individual and family members. I started my journey working with women and men within Criminal Justice, encouraging positive changes. I have experience in a Mental Health Clinic, substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders and Family Systems since substance use affects family relationships. As a veteran myself, I spent the last decade inspiring veterans to identify healthy recovery coping strategies. Let's explore some effective tools for navigating difficult times. Call me so we can get started.

My approach to therapy

I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my practice. I have lived through experience with the impacts of substance use and mental health challenges within the family. I draw from evidence-based therapies such as motivational interviewing, stages of change, solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy. I work with individuals dealing with consequences of substance use and when needed, their family.

What you can expect from me

I will create an environment where you feel safe to share ideas and learn from mistakes without fear of judgement. Our interactions will be guided by your goals and willingness to complete assigned homework. By working together, you can foster lasting change and growth while setting and achieving meaningful goals. From our first session, we will collaborate to identify what matters most to you. Goals are not static, they evolve as you will.
