Great to meet you!

Specializing in first responders and military populations. Faith-based Christian counseling upon request. My work has spanned mental health, public schools, community agencies, substance use treatment, correctional settings, military populations, and first responders, providing a broad understanding of human resilience across diverse environments. I believe everyone can overcome difficult circumstances and regain the confidence needed to create meaningful and lasting change!

My approach to therapy

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or deficits, I help people identify the internal and external resources that enable them to adapt, recover, and grow through life's challenges. My counseling philosophy is grounded in the belief that every person possesses inherent strengths, the capacity for growth, and the ability to develop hope and well-being. My Doctorate in Prevention Science gives me the perspective to focus on strengths to prevent chronic negative health outcomes and help you design a roadmap for success!

What you can expect from me

The process begins with creating a safe, authentic, and trusting relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I take time to understand each person's unique story, recognizing not only the challenges they face but also the strengths, values, relationships, and experiences that have sustained them through adversity. I seek to understand, "What has helped you survive, and what matters most to you, and how can we build upon those strengths?" My background in neuroscience, trauma-informed modalities, evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and others helps clients develop practical strategies for emotional regulation, stress management, healthy relationships, and adaptive coping while increasing self-awareness and self-compassion. Be easy on yourself! You were destined for great things, and I'm honored to help you on your journey!
