Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Diann Horton, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have a Master’s degree in Social Work. I have multiple years of professional experience working with clients that are struggling with self-esteem, confidence, motivation, stress, anxiety, depression, as well as, career/work challenges. I am a big advocate of clients wants and needs, therefore, I tend to favor the client centered approach because you are the expert of your own story. I like to create a warm, relaxing environment with no judgement, by simply being authentic and truly wanting to support my client. This helps the client feel more comfortable being themselves and tend to share more freely.

My approach to therapy

I like to use the cognitive therapeutic approach to understand clients thought process, and challenge negative belief systems that is creating barriers for clients to foster positive thinking that can potentially promote positivity in one’s life and day to day existence.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel genuinely heard and understood in a safe, nonjudgmental space. They will experience support, validation, and encouragement while exploring their thoughts and emotions. Together, we will work collaboratively to build insight, strengthen coping strategies, and foster resilience, allowing them to feel more empowered and confident in navigating life’s challenges.
