Great to meet you!

After receiving my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University in 1993, I worked at a therapist at a mental health clinic and then as a hospice grief and loss counselor before going into private practice full time.

I feel that all of my professional experiences, as well as my personal ones, have shaped me into a compassionate and empathetic counselor. Supporting individuals through some of life's most difficult moments has deepened my understanding of human resilience and healing. I bring that perspective into my work, where I hope to help clients feel seen and understood.

My approach to therapy

I offer a space where you can explore how your thoughts, perspectives and beliefs influence the way you feel-about whatever challenging or overwhelming situation you find yourself in. When you can begin to understand the patterns behind your thinking you can start to shift them in ways that support healing, clarity and self compassion.

What you can expect from me

It is my hope that they leave with a better understanding of how thoughts and perspectives can shape how we feel about our lives and how we feel about ourselves. My goal is to help my clients build insight, so they can navigate life with an authentic sense of well being and a knowing that that they can learn how to access the wisdom that is within them.
