Great to meet you!

My life hasn't moved in a straight line, and I don't expect yours to either. Over more than 20 years, my work in the helping professions has grown up alongside raising a family, building a career, and weathering the same kinds of transitions that bring people to my door — career shifts, faith questions, loss, the slow work of becoming someone new. Those worlds were never really separate; they shaped each other, and they shaped the way I sit with people now.

What hasn't changed across all of it is a genuine desire to know the person in front of me — not just the problem they're carrying. I bring warmth and directness in equal measure: a skilled listener who speaks plainly, builds real understanding alongside you, and holds steady, hopeful ground while you find your footing again.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based care. What does this mean?

Clinical tools that hold up. I use structured, outcome-focused approaches — not vague reassurance, but methods you can actually track progress against.

Understanding, not just coping. You'll leave sessions with language for what's happening inside you, not just instructions for getting through the day. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques to help you reduce symptoms, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is simply a chance for us to get acquainted. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, a little about your history, and what you're hoping life might look like on the other side of this. You don't need to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say — I'll help guide the conversation. We'll talk through what working together might look like, and you'll have plenty of space to ask your own questions. There's no pressure to commit to anything in that first hour. My goal is simply that you leave feeling heard, a little clearer, and with a sense of whether this is the right fit for you. Most people find it easier than they expected.
