Great to meet you!

Hello. My name is Liz and I have been a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) in the state of Vermont for the past 23 years. My goal has always been to provide a safe and supportive environment in which clients can explore and process the issues that are making life feel challenging and overwhelming. Even when current stressors, and past traumas, appear to be insurmountable, there is always hope and change is possible. The first step is always the hardest and I'm here to support you throughout your journey.

My approach to therapy

Choosing the right therapist for you can feel like daunting task. My role is to welcome you into the process and help you find a pace that feels comfortable and supported. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the experience, allowing you to feel safe, seen, and heard. We will work together to build that relationship, with openness and honest communication, and humor when needed to bring some levity. Therapy should be something that you look forward to and value. My hope is to help create that experience for you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you'll get the chance to share what has led you to start, or continue, engaging in individual therapy, including what you'd like to accomplish during our time together. It is an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss how future sessions will best benefit you in your therapeutic journey. You don't have to come prepared with a plan. We will figure it out together.
