Great to meet you!

  • Masters in Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University
  • Board-Certified Music Therapist
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State
  • Former Director of Music Therapy for Carroll University

I specialize in maternal mental health, especially birth trauma and adjustment to parenthood. I also work with adults who are neurodiverse, LGBTQ+, and those who have chronic trauma from childhood neglect.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the healing happens within the therapeutic relationship between provider and client, and so I prioritize creating an environment of trust and safety with my clients. I use humor to build rapport and put my clients at ease. When appropriate, I incorporate techniques from mindfulness practice and music therapy to help clients explore new coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

Clients usually leave my sessions feeling lighter and more optimistic about the future. My hope is to build your sense of self-efficacy and reframe past struggles as part of a positive journey. There is often laughter, and sometimes tears, especially during the first session. It can be a relief to finally tell your story to someone who cares. Together we will be curious about the past that brought you here, while we set goals for the future.
