Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and evidence-based medication management for adults (18+). My clinical background spans community psychiatry and private practice, with a strong focus on helping individuals find lasting stability and relief from ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

My path to this work was shaped by my own lived experiences with major life transitions, growth, and resilience. Navigating the complex balancing act of career and family gave me a deep, personal understanding of professional burnout and the unique pressures faced by caregivers and parents of high-needs children. This personal context fuels my commitment to care that is not just clinically rigorous — but deeply practical, warm, and empathetic.

My approach to therapy

I believe that great psychiatric care goes beyond writing a prescription. My approach is rooted in building a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and supported at every visit. While our appointments are structured as 30-minute medication management sessions, I incorporate elements of solution-focused, motivational, and cognitive behavioral techniques into every visit as a standard part of your care — helping you not only manage symptoms but develop practical tools and insight along the way.

I take a collaborative, whole-person approach to treatment. That means we look at your sleep, stress, relationships, lifestyle, and personal goals — not just your symptoms. Together we will build a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to you, grounded in evidence-based medicine, and flexible enough to grow as your needs evolve.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is one hour — which gives us plenty of real time to talk without feeling rushed. It is really just a conversation, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out before we meet. Here is a general sense of how it usually goes:

  • We will spend time getting to know each other and I will ask about what brought you in, your history, and what you are hoping to get out of treatment
  • I will ask about your mental health history, any medications you have tried in the past, and how things have been going overall — physically, emotionally, and socially
  • Together we will start building a treatment plan that feels right for you — this might include medication, lifestyle adjustments, or just a clear plan for next steps
  • You will have plenty of time to ask questions — I want you to leave feeling informed and comfortable, not rushed

First sessions can bring up a lot, and that is completely normal. My goal is that you walk away feeling heard, clear on next steps, and good about the direction we are heading together.

If you have questions before booking, feel free to send me a message. And if you don't see a time that works for your schedule, reach out — I will do my best to find something that fits.
