Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Emily Brophy. I bring three years of experience working in mental health and school settings, with a background that includes a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Counseling, a minor in Disability Studies, ASL certification, and a K-12 School Counselor license. I'm also an NCC certified counselor and a current Special Education Master's student — so supporting people across the full spectrum of learning and lived experience is both my passion and my practice.

I specialize in working with teenagers and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, and disabilities. As a neurodivergent individual with my own lived experience with OCD, anxiety, and having been on both a 504 and an IEP, I know firsthand what it feels like to sit on the other side of the room. I show up warm, a little humorous, and genuinely in your corner.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered foundation with CBT interventions - meaning you're always the expert on your own life, and I'm here to offer tools that actually fit the way your brain works. My style is holistic and supportive: we look at the whole person, not just the presenting problem. I believe healing happens when we can get curious together about the root causes of what's showing up, and map out paths forward that feel real and sustainable for you.

What you can expect from me

Think of the first session as the beginning of a conversation, not an interrogation. We'll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what's brought you here, and starting to explore what you're hoping therapy can do for you. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. Therapy is a journey, and the first step is just showing up and being open. I'll meet you wherever you are.
