Hi, I ’m Dr. Emily Harrington, a licensed clinical psychologist. I specialize in therapy for people with sleep difficulties, chronic pain, and stress or anxiety related to chronic health conditions. I have been a psychologist for 4+ years, with an additional 6 years of doctoral and post-doctoral clinical experience. Through training and working in medical settings, I have developed expertise in supporting people who are navigating medical and mental health symptoms while balancing daily life, work, and relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates mind and body, is evidence-informed, and builds on the strengths you already have to support meaningful change. Therapy with me builds awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and daily patterns, so you can relate to challenges with more choice and flexibility. My practice affirms diverse identities, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals, and is trauma-informed.

What you can expect from me

At your first session, I will introduce myself and my practice. I ’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and your goals for the future. I will ask questions to get a clear sense of what you ’re experiencing and what feels most important for us to focus on at future sessions. Before the first session ends, we ’ll make a plan for when to meet next.
